I've seen it this morning and I like it. I have played around San Fransisco for more than an hour. It would be cool if this option is included in the next API update, so we can build our own local version of it. (With better stitched pano's ofcourse)

We'd like to provide access to StreetView through the API, but there
are no immediate plans to release it.
My suggestion is for you to create Mapplets that can be used on
maps.google.com along with StreetView.

If you're into VR technology yourself, you could even re-create
StreetView in Mapplets using iframes in InfoWindows.
So it'd be like StreetView Plus!

If we do release StreetView through the API in the future, it will be
announced on the blog, as usual.
