Jerry - I have sent you an email with an attached swf for testing purposes. Try inserting it into a tour. You should get a rough idea of what is possible using the GMap component.

Hi Bruxist, Could you also send me an example. I am currently working on a large project working with Google API and wondered if what you have may be usefull to me. I am working in another direction incorporating VT's in Google Maps.

Just to follow on from the previous topic: Using AFC Flash Mapping Components:

I made some time to check out AFCs UMap component. The Flash actionscript is different because it is based on AS3. The result is pretty similar to what I had with GMap. I have not worked out a way to link to Google Maps yet - there seems to be a work around but I am not there yet. Instead UMap still defaults to Microsoft Virtual Earth tiles.

What I had not reliezed was that there are two implementations of UMap - UMapper.com is an on-line HTML version and the other (UMap AS3) is a Adobe Flash integrated component. Once you have placed a marker on your map in UMapper you can either link to it using an html link (like Google Maps) or you can copy the Flash AS code and insert it into your own Flash project.

It is all free for you to try out. Commercial licenses cost extra.

Hi Bruxist,

just wondering how I can insert this in my Tour !

I'm not a programmer, just playing a bit with HTML, PHP, Python, CSS, ...

I really love this functionnality GoogleMaps plugin, but I don't find the way to implement it !

I need to create a popup window (toggled by a button like for maps), and place in it the GoogleMap window !

MANY tnxs in advnace,
Dominique
