After seeing Daniels earlier shaped screen window I have been playing. At first I thought it must be a background with transparent, but this failed. Then it must be an image wioth transparent. This also failed as the picture can be seen but there is no control available on the left/right mouse etc.

However, if you break the shape into multiple images you can get rounded corners and shaoes and the controls stiill work. The only downside is the shaped parts have to match the background colour.

Has anyone else played or found a better way?

Kevin

Hi Kevin, if you create your screen window as .png file and send the screen viewer to the back it works fine. You can place controls on to it no problem.

If I remember correctly Smooth said you have to save it as a PNG-24.

You are referring to the "frame" and it can be either .gif, .png 8 or .png 24 with the latter your best option.

Here are some samples to play with scene viewer sized at 640x480 PNG-24 "Frame Image" Mask

Right Click the above and "Save Image" and test in your own project by follow the same size dimensions.

In use below (well for this demo anyway)

PNG-24 with Edge Boarder

Right Click the above and "Save Image" and test in your own project by follow the same size dimensions.
