I was getting the BLANK SCREEN on the published .exe file. My filenames were over 12 characters (the project and the published executable file). So I made both 12chars or less and now it publishes fine to .exe! I'm so happy. Thanks!

Should we try to keep ALL source filenames at 12chars.ext or less? even Scene file names to avoid any potential problems? What do you think?

I don't do that, and I have no problems, I think it's just the main file name, This is apparently going to be fixed in the next release, as is the words "flyvr" in the header of the EXE
