You are right, the problem is with the translucent thumbnail. To be more exact, the issue is with the Left and Right buttons at the ends. What you need to do is specify the location of the 3 left and right buttons in the panel bottom right.(sorry, don't read German but is probably called property panel ) 
Once you do that, it should work properly.
