Panoweaver 8.20.120929 Crashes at 50%

I have been trying to stitch a pano in the latest version of panoweaver and every time it gets to 47% it hangs for a second and then jumps to 50% and crashes.
My machine is more than capable to handle the stitching.
Also I constantly get a "Fail to allocate memory" messages even though i have 24GB of ram (about 19GB free for allocation)
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

What type of images are you attempting to stitch?

.jpg, .raw, .tif 8 bit, 16 bit?

i've tried all types.
.tiff and .raw / .cr2 cause the fail to allocate and crash
.jpg will just throw the fail to allocate and then upon another stitch attempt the pano will render

18 images.
this is the same method i have been using.
one day it just stopped working so i updated to the latest version (8.20.120929) and now it crashes at 50% every time.
