Who is the end customer ?

Easypano | developer | sales representative | buying public

Developer needs to sell panoramas tours with minimum acknowledgment of developers company.

Sales representative does not want or need to see Easypano branding, links.. it is a sales detractor.  Sales client is selling products like tourism hotels etc.  Too much Easypano branding might result in software sales loss.

Buying public doesnt care about Easypano product  or the sales - they are only interested in the tourism product.  No reason to back link to Easypano because there is no need.  Public is not going to buy the software.

Best thing the Developer and Easypano can do is to place a small icon indicating delivery product acknowledgement.  The Public and the Sales representative really don't care about the software... and do not need it.

Its like the small business card... its there if you need to use it.. and NOT visible when your trying to sell Tourism, hotels etc... which are the REAL product.  NO  panorama tourism SALES,  no need for Easy pano software.

WHO NEEDS IT?  The panorama tour maker COMPETITION.

At the current software price... the software should have very minimum branding and no links.

Just my thoughts on the matter.

My two cents worth....

I understand and respect your right to put a copyright notice on your software.

I find objectable that you are, for all intents and purposes, putting an ad on content that I create and sell to an end user. How would you feel if the maker of Java had a pop-up window that came up randomly when ever we ran your software that said, "This panarama making software was created with XYZ software. Come to our web-site and see how easy it is to create your own panarama making software. The link is www.XYZ.com"

You want me to tell my clients how I made the software. Would you please tell all of us exactly what company and version of the software you used to create TourWeaver, including all editors and compiliers. (How does that feel! Now, put that in the "about" screen of TourWeaver with a link to their site.)

With your copyright notice anyone who really wanted to find out who produced the software could easily find you through a search engine. There is a difference between not hiding the software producer from my client, and encouraging my client to check you out.

It *would* be nice to have a place for me to add my copyright notice on the same "about" screen.

Either way, I feel it is only fair for you to offer refunds to those who find the about screen very objectable.

I totally agree with Jeffy in the sense that anylogo or even the words easypano or tourweaver on the software will make the customer, or end user very easily find which product I use to develop my software.

JUST PUT EASYPANO IN GOOGLE.COM !

The thing is, targetting the developer and end user at the same time is not fair at all.

HERE's An EXAMPLE:

I sell whole sale computer parts to computer dealers and at the same time I give the same price for end users ?!!

Please Easypano, here my suggestion which will work for everybody:

--------------------------------------------------------

If you really need to put a logo for easypano then may I suggest you make 2 versions of tourweaver. 1 with logo and one without. That way you can target the end user with the first and the developper with the second.

-------------------------------------------------------

I would love to hear your opinion on this, and appreciate your support.

Ps: this is a big and important issue and I think that the users who want their money back because of the Logo are not exagerating at all and I think its a right.

thank you again for your understanding

Dear all,

I am very glad to inform you guys that if you purchased our Tourweaver previously, you can enjoy our free upgrade from your existing version to Tourweaver Professional Edition 1.10. After our managements' careful discussion, they have worked out a solution to the "About" Window issue. We have decided to newly release two versions of Tourweaver, one is Standard Edition and the other Professional Edition. The solution will
be illustrated genrally as follows.

1. Version Number : 1.10.
2. Release Date: Dec. 26,2003
3. Price:
   Tourweaver Standard Edition: $199.95
   Tourweaver Profession Edition: $499.95
4. The functions in the Standard Edition are the same as    those in the Professional Edition. The differences between the two versions are listed as below.
In the Professional Edition, the existing viewer will continue to be used, and the "About" window will be removed.
In the Standard Edition, the Easypano logo will appear unchangeably during downloading, and users are not allowed to customize their own logos. In addition,by right clicking within the applet the "About" window marked as Easypano Virtual Tour Player will be shown.
5. The trial version possesses the same functions as the   Standard Edition.
6. Upgrading: Our users who previously purchased Tourweaver can enjoy a free upgrade from the existing version to Tourweaver Professional Edition 1.10.

We have scheduled to release the new versions on Dec. 26, 2003. Please be patient for the new release.

The guys and Gals at Easypano should be congratulated.

I believe they have done the right thing here and now everyone can get the benefits they require from the Tourweaver program.

Not only that, but sales of both programs should sky rocket.

Congratulations . Three cheers for Easypano *\0/* *\0/* *\0/*
