Use panorama hardware to make 360 panorama
To make a 360 panorama covering 360 degree field of view with least number of photos, you may use: Digital camera + Fisheye lens + Pano Head + Tripod. Digital camera with high resolution can offer great details of the panorama location. Fisheye lens offers greater field of view, for example, Sigma 8mm F4 EX DG Fisheye lens has a 180 degree angle of view. So, only 4 images are needed to cover 360 * 180 degree.
