Three ?: Stop/Restart, Zooming Villa, Txt

Hi all: Three questions.

1. First, is there are way to restart the tour when a user clicks on the image to pause it? I saw another question almost exactly a year ago posted to this forum with no good resolve. Any new information on this issue?

2. The "Villa" sample tour on the front page uses a lot of zooming effects (besides just zooming to a point for the next hotspot) and different pans. Was this done in Tourwear or is this something you'd need ptviewer scripting for?

3. Is it possible to add text tags to parts in the image? For example, one of our tours is of our server room. It would be nice to have a mouseover or just plain text tag on the image that says, "This is our mail server". Any ideas?

Thanks!

Hi Kmen,

1. You can use "playmovie" and "stopmovie"button in your virtual tour. The "playmovie" button is used to pause and resume the virtual tour movie, and "stopmovie" is used to stop the movie and return to the first frame. If you want to resume the virtual tour from where it pauses after clicking on the images, you may click on the "playmovie" button. If you want the virtual tour to restart, you can click on the button "stop", then "play" to view the tour again from the beginning. These two buttons have effect on movies only. You need select relevant movie for the buttons. Please refer to the virtual tour "villa" (http://www.easypano.com/gallery_tw.html) which includes these two buttons.

2. All the zooming effects of "Villa" have been done in Tourweaver. You can also create such effect by editing your own movie frame by frame in the "movie" panel of Tourweaver.

3. You cannot add a text tag on images directly with current Tourweaver, but you can add an image hotspot. For example, you make a small picture which is written "This is our mail server", and add this image as a hotspot on the image.

Thanks for your help. I don't think I was explicit enough on the first question though regarding stopping/starting the tour.

Answer:
"You can use "playmovie" and "stopmovie" button in your virtual tour. "playmovie""

My question should have said, "How should a user Restart the tour if s/he clicks on the viewer?" Clicking on the Viewer pauses the image/video. If I add a "playmove" button, this starts the user at the very beginning. I want it to resume the tour right where they paused it without starting them at the very beginning of the movie. Is this possible?

Hi Kmen,

Maybe I have confused you slightly. "Playmovie" is just the button used to resume the tour where they paused it without starting them at the very beginning. If a user click on the viewer, the tour will pause, and then users can drag or zoom the scene. At this time, when he/she click the "playmovie" button, the tour would resume from where he/she just paused, but not from the very beginning.

"Playmovie" button is just like the "pause" button in Media Player, and "Stopmovie" equals the "stop" button.

Thanks again, Carol, but we're still not on the same plane. I have included the pause/resume buttons on my tour skin. However, when a user clicks on the actual Viewer (not the Pause button) it pauses the tour. The user then has no way to resume the tour from that point.

Hi Eagle,

This Playmovie/Stopmoive is the new feature in TW 1.25, not in V 1.20. You may download 1.25 at http://www.easypano.com/trialversions.html.

Kmen,

When you click on the actual Viewer (not the Pause button), it pauses the tour, for example, at position A. Then you may click on the "pause" button to resume the tour from position A. Please try the sample "villa" at http://www.easypano.com/gallery_tw.html, you can test the function in this virtual tour.
